Error 74

Wow. Anybody ever get this? Is this what happens when your system gets the RRoD? I noticed that the original text above states that the Ring of Light on the 360 "blinking red". I really hope I never see this, and actually, this is the first time I've ever seen a picture of this error.

I've never seen anything like that. I got a red ring once, because I was trying to make my entertainment center look all nice by putting my 360 in one of the holes (I'm tired from shivering isles all night. my vocabulary is suffering for it), and it was bending the power cord as a result. (because I didn't want to put the wires through the back, because I like moving my xbox from TV to TV. especially HDTVs lol). I was playing Ninja Gaiden and it suddenly turned off. I looked at my xbox *que psycho music* and there were 3 red segments flashing. (by segments i mean the 4 quarters of the total ring on your xbox) So yeah, I panicked, but I took the xbox out of that hole and everything was fine. There's also one that my friend always panics when she sees because she'll forget to plug the audio/video cords in and the red ring will show up.

Yeah thats error is not good...lol

Possibly an error when you get an RRoD. But being as most RRoD's are the result of processor or video board failure, you'd be lucky to see that message.

Very true. I've been lucky to not have many probs at all with my 360. Yet.

Seeing the RROD is like going out to the parking lot and noticing that your car is gone. It's that same feeling. A knot in your stomach.....you drop to your knees and scream Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
You say to yourself this can't be happing, but it is. You go over all the steps they tell you online and in the manual. You turn it off hoping the Xbox would just forgot what just happened and work but still nothing. You try mouth to disc tray but nothing.....it's gone. You cry, you yell to God and ask Why? Why is it always the good ones....You now realize there is nothing you could do. You will wear the same clothes for weeks and not shower and find yourself at the corner of some run down bar getting drunk and mumbling to yourself...you will........wait ok you get the idea.

Lol!! Very nice. If I did that, I think my gf might lose all hope in me. Then its really over lol
