| Who has it? I do, I've had it since freakin March of last year and I still play it until 5 a.m.!! I've got over 200 (count 'em) hours logged into this MASSIVE game. Amazingly enough, though, this isn't my favorite game of all time. Yet. | |

| I played Oblivion with a friend for about 30 minutes and I didn't like it. I wasn't impressed with the game play or anything that really "stands out" to Oblivion players. The only thing I noticed that I did like was the graphics. I thought they were good (above decent). Lol. But idk. Everyone thinks I'm crazy when I say Oblivion sucks so I stay away from judging it....... | |

| Hi, i'm new to this forum, but im that friend of well_spent who played oblivion with him, and it's awesome. it has a very solid (and long) storyline and free choice. I find it very impressive. I still haven't beaten it, but I've been playing for at least 50 hours. | |

| Max, I hope you like Oblivion. The easiest way to explain Oblivion to non-players is, its basically Grand Theft Auto in a renaissance era. The graphics are in every way absolutely spectacular, you can go anywhere you please and do anything you please. You want to pickpocket a shop owner for a good chunk of gold? Go ahead, but if they catch you, get ready to run for it. Guards are vicious. Or maybe you want to be a noble soldier and excel in the Fighter's Guild. Or a knowledgeable Mage and cast powerful spells? You can do anything. Townsfolk and guards remember you, react to your accomplishments and will say hello to you on your way past. Truly amazing game. Do not rent it. Buy it. You have to like games that concentrate on advancing your character in several different areas, and appreciation of hundreds of miles of beautiful scenery doesn't hurt. Let me know how you like it. | |

| Yeah, switching back and forth between the two in the game has it's advantages. You can switch to 3rd person to get a better view around a corner, or if you simply want to admire your character from a distance. Riding a horse is easier in 3rd person view, I tend to go the wrong way when on horseback in 1st person view But when you're actually fighting, using magic, and exploring, I like to use 1st person. You've got the crosshair, so you can be more accurate with spells, the bow, and where ever your crosshair is, your sword will hit. | |
