Thanks! They're really fun (and pretty easy if you're willing to take the time) to make. I think I spent around 3 hours recording and editing it.

How do you record it to your pc from your XBOX?

i bought a video capture card. its kind of like a video card that you can plug audio/video connectors into. basically, it lets me plug my xbox into my computer and play from my monitor while recording. then i use Power Director 3 or Windows Movie Maker to edit the stuff I record. One guy I know just plugs his video camera into the TV or Xbox (im not sure which) then records from the camera to his computer. When I was first starting out, I used a webcam sitting on a TV dinner table, and it was okay for a while. the quality sucked but it was fun. Id reccomend using a capture card if youre wanting the best quality, but theyre expensive (mine was about $120).

Hmmm I'm on a laptop though....I'll have to see what I can do. I want to make some Vids...lol

yeah im not sure what you would use for a laptop. like i said, i had that really cheap set-up with the webcam, but it got pretty bad quality recordings. if you look at my youtube channel (onewhoslaysall), youll see my halo montages, and the quality is horrible, but the videos arent bad. that might be a good way for you to start.

*sniff* my video is gradually going up in views, but nobody is commenting or rating it... still, it was the best one I've posted online so far... People should make some montages, so this topic can continue with its coolness.

Lol, I don't know why I had never watched this. I love it, Nickelback is one of my favorites, and pairing that with this cool vid ...major props.

Yeah me too. I'm still working on building that PC of mine. Not to mention getting Xbox Live. I don't know which to spend money on first!

Well, I would suggest getting both lol, cuz xbox live is so cheap. And Max, you could take clips from downloadable trailers and edit them with windows movie maker (its free. yay!). That's what this guy did:
